Enrichment Activities
For the individual or the team, easily accessible online:
One Word Intention for the Year: Individual exercise done at the same time to choose a word that continues with you through the year. It is meant to help overcome distractions and guide thoughts and decisions through the year. Set aside time to allow individuals to tune in to their own lives to think about their principles and desired outcomes for the year. There are step through exercises available to lead the participants if prompting and inspiration is needed. Bring the team together to discuss word and how it might show up in their personal life and in work if participants are willing to share.
DISC Profiles: conduct for individuals and then map the outcomes for the team on one chart. This is a short assessment that informs personality and communication style by mapping the results on a four-quadrant chart indicating Dominant (Eagle), Interactive (Parrot), Supportive (Dove), Conscientious (Owl). For a fun common language, consider conducting this using Take Flight Learning that identifies each profile with birds noted in the parentheses. It can help provide a comfortable way and common language to acknowledge each other in all vehicles of communication.
